Angus College, May 2010 Student Engagement shot to fame at Angus College around 18 months ago, with hundreds of students wanting to participate in their learning, in the life and work of the college and to make their experience the best it can be! Our students have high aspirations for their campus and want to bring it to life with social events, fundraising and citizenship activities...and they won't let a small budget get in their way. What initially started as a small one-off purchase for student representatives has become a fully functioning enterprise with staff, students, family and friends alike purchasing college branded hoodies in every hue. Students and staff have said that the hoodies are like "an informal uniform" that "make us feel like we all belong to a community". Over the past year the hoodie enterprise has generated around £1,000 profit, with every penny being spent on student activity. Our hoodie enterprise raises money for students to spend on what is important to them, develops entrepreneurial skills, helps to bind the college community together, and - of course - creates a lot of fun.
