ECU works to further and support equality and diversity for staff and students in higher education and in further education in Scotland.

Scotland’s Colleges is working with ECU to deliver a number of projects with the Scottish college sector in 2011-2012. View further Information.

In addition ECU will seek to deliver a number of seminars and workshops on the Equality Act 2010 and the specific duties during 2011-2012. The first will be on 6 December at Edinburgh Napier University, Sighthill Campus and will focus on setting equality outcomes and planning for the specific duties. This event will also take place on 16 December 2011 at the UHI Executive Offices, Inverness, view further information.

Equality in Practice

The Equality Challenge Unit are organising a workshop on Equality Impact Assessment on 8 March in Scotland’s Colleges. After the workshop  there will be a meeting of the College Liaison Group which has been formed to help inform ECU’s work in Scotland. Please book online or contact Suzanne Marshall.
