Scotland's Colleges Learning Resources Strategy

Scotland's Colleges is currently considering its future learning resource support strategy.

Our previous provision (through SFEU and COLEG) has focused primarily on teacher and learner guidance and support materials for specific qualifications. The environment is never static however, and in planning for future learning resource needs, we wish to take account of current and next practice in colleges.

As part of our review of learning resources provision we seek your contribution to guide our future strategy.

About our learning materials

Our learning and teaching materials have to meet high quality standards. Peer review, editing and technical checks are important stages in the development of new materials. With the learner in mind, we quality assure these aspects of learning materials:
  • pedagogy
  • assessment and feedback
  • instructional design
  • accessibility
  • accuracy of content
  • plain English
We also make available materials and resources which have been shared by our member colleges and partners.
