The Essential Skills forum aims to support Scotland's colleges to deliver essential skills to promote effective learning and to enhance the ability of all individuals to be successful in all aspects of life and work.

Objectives

  • to raise awareness of essential skills as being at the heart of the curriculum
  • to facilitate and ensure sector discussion and exchange of ideas and practice
  • to identify, prioritise and plan activities to support Scotland's colleges
  • to promote ‘next practice' in the delivery of essential skills.
