International Welcome How to Work with Scotland’s Colleges Developing Recruitment and Exchange Links
Developing Recruitment and Exchange Links
Working with the colleges in Scotland you can be assured of the highest standard of academic qualifications, quality of delivery and experience for your students.

All our colleges have different courses, profiles and portfolios and we would suggest that you review the icon Membership Information Booklet (1.68 MB) for the most suitable subject area and contact us directly for assistance and introductions.

We are always happy to welcome people to visit Scotland and our colleges and assist with the structure and development of study visits and exchanges.

Residences and Accommodation

Many of our colleges have ‘on campus residences’ and also accommodation options within walking distance of the main buildings.

Summer Programmes and Short Cultural Stays

The college academic term is mid August to mid June approximately.

The colleges have some time in the summer vacation to support visits and study programmes, which need to be agreed with the individual colleges in advance.

Some of the programmes can be linked to UK national qualifications and provide credit towards the students current course of study (in agreement with both institutions and accreditation bodies).

Types of Programmes

The type of programme that can be delivered is very flexible and can be a range of subject areas, eg. English Language, Equine Studies, Golf Management, Business, Professional and Technical Skills, Art and many more.

We are happy to explore these options with you and our members.

UK Border Agency

Scotland’s Colleges are key partners with UK Border Agency under the Joint Education Taskforce group and regularly attend meetings and respond to consultations on behalf of the Scottish college sector.

Our members are all Government Funded Sponsors and have an excellent reputation for quality and academic standards.
