ALLIES Project
Alliance for Locating Leads in International Education for Scotland (ALLIES)

Background

There is a world of opportunity out there, and the ALLIES project is looking to make the most of it for Scotland's college sector.  In an increasingly competitive environment, skills development becomes even more of a binding ingredient in the mix that makes a successful business.  Many international markets are establishing reputations and growing industrial sectors that have been resident in the Scottish economy for a long time and have been served by the skills development expertise of our colleges. ALLIES will develop collaborative capacity amongst colleges and wider stakeholders in skills in Scotland to capitalise on educational service provision for international markets.

Scotland's Colleges International is leading the ALLIES who include the Scottish Government, Scottish Development International, Scottish Qualifications Authority and through Scotland's Colleges International membership, 43 of Scotland's colleges.

ALLIES aims to enable a more strategic and proactive approach to international business development for the college sector by improving interactions with industry players and increasing awareness of Scotland's college product offerings in overseas markets.
