The ICT Community of Practice represents staff who have a responsibility for ICT systems in Scotland's colleges. It seeks to capitalise on the expertise present within Scotland's colleges for the benefit of the whole sector. Its key purpose is to assist members to make an impact on college life. Steering group meetings plan and organise the agenda for the CoP events.
Aims
- to provide a platform for discussion and opportunity for networking
- to keep members informed of current good practice
- to provide a channel of communication between the CoP and other organisations
- to organise events to facilitate these objectives
- to develop shared practice.

Terms of Reference
- Chair will hold post for minimum of two and maximum of three years
- Steering Group elect chair and Vice Chair
- Steering group from nominees from sector
- Committee normally Chair, Vice Chair, Sec, and seven ordinary members
- Suggestion that two sub-groups be formed to look at Networking and User Support
- Steering group members can resign and be replaced as required
- Steering Group will meet four times per year.
