Communities of Practice Librarians CoP
Librarians CoP

The Librarians Community of Practice represents library and information staff in Scotland's colleges. It seeks to capitalise on the expertise within the colleges for the benefit of the whole sector. It is co-ordinated through a steering group which acts in an advisory capacity to organise two events and an annual conference per year.

Aims

  • to provide a platform for discussion and opportunity for networking
  • to keep members informed of current good practice
  • to promote the role of libraries and librarians within the sector
  • to provide a channel of communication between the network and other organisations
  • to organise events to facilitate these objectives
  • to support the LIAN network.
