• Recognise that learner behaviours and expectations are changing
• 'Plug-in' to pedagogy not a browser!
• e-learning is about process not content
• Embed or be dead!
• Learning is not a spectator sport
• Think small reusable components fitting into a flexible and dynamic learning environment
• Appreciate that no learning is pedagogically neutral but that its flexibility is key
• Think units and programmes and not just lessons or prototypes
• A combination of top-down and bottom-up drivers are essential
