The college leaders placement opportunity was open to designated deputes across the college sector in Scotland. This was an opportunity to focus on development areas, share expertise and learn from your colleagues across the sector. Placements could be of varying length depending on the objectives and areas of focus. If you had wished to be considered for a placement opportunity, the support of your Principal should have been sought in the first instance. Please note that this opportunity was aimed at enabling senior managers (both academic and functional specialists) in Scotland’s Colleges to function effectively as college leaders, as senior team members, and as functional specialists and provided a platform for future college leadership roles. We aimed to provide coaching support in advance of, and post, placement to enhance the placement opportunity.
If you had wished to undertake a placement the the application form (176 kB) should have been completed and sent to Marian McMorland at Scotland’s Colleges (details on the application form). If you had wished to discuss the placement opportunity you would have contacted: Lesley Whelan () or telephone: 01786 892043.
