The Principals of Scotland's 43 incorporated colleges meet monthly at the Principals' Convention to discuss issues of strategic importance to the sector. The Principals' Convention of Scotland's Colleges continues to develop successfully and has increasingly taken the initiative to shape and lead the strategic direction of the college sector through a number of key initiatives including policy formulation, political lobbying and the Principals' Leading and Learning CPD Programme. The Convention is currently reviewing its working practices to formalise its own role and its relationship with the new Scotland's Colleges support sector agency, and in doing so aims to provide greater clarity and transparency in its operation.
