| Scotland’s Colleges Challenge Days |
|
'It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but rather the one most responsive to change’ (Charles Darwin). The Challenge Day took place at Hampden Park, Glasgow on Tuesday 23 August 2011. The event provided an opportunity to generate creative thinking and share inspiring approaches to meet the demands of the changing education landscape.
This was an exciting and dynamic day: a challenge for all involved.
The structure of the day was influenced by the ethos and principles of cooperative learning. This successful learning and teaching strategy encourages small teams to engage in a variety of learning activities to challenge their thinking and improve their understanding of a subject. Groups then have to complete a task and present their own creative ideas. Key Speaker - Mick Jackson
Over 120 delegates from 19 colleges participated in the event: the day was a resounding success. Comments we received include:
‘Entertaining, positive, insightful’
